The Foundations and Functions of Religious Unions in Monotheism-centered Social Solidarity with a Quranic Approach

Abstract

 The issue of social solidarity and constructive communication between people, along with many other topics in social sciences, is one of the important social challenges that has attracted the attention of Islamic and social scientists, and various theories and models of social progress have been proposed. The relationship between people is the basis for the formation of a social system and society. The position of the religious community and social groups and their role in the emergence and effectiveness of society, social relations, solidarity, and the creation of a unified and sustainable monotheistic system is very prominent. This research, using a descriptive-analytical approach and a library method, has attempted to explain the foundations and functions of the religious community in monotheistic social solidarity and the creation of a unified Islamic nation. The goals of the research include the cultural improvement of society in the field of attitudes, tendencies, and behaviors, and the achievement of an ideal unified society that will ultimately lead to the individual and social salvation of the Islamic nation. Monotheism, belief in the resurrection, and acceptance of the guardianship are the foundations of religious unity, and having faith, piety, remembering God, steadfastness, obedience, patience, avoiding disagreement, etc. are the most important elements that influence social solidarity. Benefiting from divine grace and supernatural power, having a spirit of charity and benevolence, self-confidence and good faith in each other, moderation and moderation, seeking fairness and justice, compatibility and synergy, jihad and struggle, steadfastness and increasing the power and authority of the members of society and guiding them towards the formation of a single global monotheistic system are among the most important functions of religious unity.
