Abstract
The personality, behavioral style, insights, and belief systems of individuals are formed in their homes. Parents must embody the right principles to guide their children toward true happiness. Luqman's themes in the Quran—faith, prayer, and social teaching—provide universal raising principles. Additionally, studying different interpretations can enhance our understanding of these subjects. This research aims to clarify the concept of Surah Luqman and its educational principles by examining various interpretations. Analysis of these interpretations reveals that Lughman first instilled faith and knowledge in his children to shape their behavior. Key beliefs include Monotheism, avoiding polytheism, resurrection, prophethood, and Imamate. In terms of conduct, he emphasized honoring parents as a divine duty, expressing gratitude to them as a form of thanking Allah, and promoting virtues while preventing vices, all while avoiding arrogance. Our research findings indicate that Imamieh interpreters view the roles of parents as akin to that of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Imam Ali (alayhi as-salam).
